The Auditorium registers an increase of public of 13% and an increase of the programming of 7% in 2018 (11/01/2019)

The mayor of Culture, Lucia Hernandez, has released statistical data both in terms of public and number of events recorded in the Auditorium and Congress Palace Infanta Doña Elena during the recently ended 2018. The mayor has assessed "very positively "figures that represent an increase of 13% in terms of public, from 39,785 in 2017 to 44,686 in 2018, and 7% in terms of scheduled performances, these being 137 in 2018 compared to 129 in 2017.

The commitment to quality, as well as the application of reduced rates for students, unemployed and groups remain the main circumstances that, in the opinion of the mayor of the area, "have helped the influx of audiences to the Auditorium has recorded this significant increase a tendency that, in addition, we have been perceiving in the last three years ".

Between the events that greater affluence have registered they are, in the theatrical section, the work "When it leaves the moon", with 380 spectators;

followed very closely by "Together" with 354 spectators.

In the musical section was the concert of Joan Manuel Serrat, with 702 spectators the event more often;

while, within local festivals, the concert of IES Europe, with a total of three passes and 2,734 spectators, returned to take the lead.

In reference to the exhibitions, Hernandez has indicated that the exhibition "The landscape from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century" of the private collection of Manuel Coronado has been the one with the highest number of visitors (227 people).

Finally, the mayor wanted to remember the bet made in 2018 by this City Council to make the Auditorium an accessible space for people with disabilities;

Thus, last month the necessary actions were carried out in order to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility, an action that is added to the installation, in February of last year, of a magnetic loop that allows people with hearing problems, using hearing aids or cochlear implants, clearly hear the different actions that are developed.
