The Association of Housewives, Consumers and Users Virgen de los Dolores, in collaboration with the City of Águilas, celebrated its traditional Nativity Scene Contest last weekend;
an act that this year reached its XXI edition.
The evening began with the performance of the Association Choir, responsible for entertaining the evening with a selection of popular Christmas carols and giving way to the ceremony of trophies.
In the category of Belenes of Educational Centers, the Carlos V School achieved the most traditional Bethlehem trophy;
Las Lomas won the prize for the most original Nativity scene;
while Mary Immaculate won the title of the newly created Bethlehem.
Within the Family Belens category, the winners were: Juani Ruiz (Original Belen), Francisco Miras (Traditional Belen), and Javier Hernández (Belen of new creation).
In the section of Belenes of exhibition were Hilario Gris (Bethlehem more original), Residence of Railmen (traditional Bethlehem) and Salvador Garcia (Bethlehem of new creation) the winners.
In addition, the young nativity scenes Sofía and Emiliano got a special mention;
the artisanal Bethlehem of Soledad García;
and a mention of honor for their participation by the nativityists Ana Linares, Ganés Morata, María García, Pedro Ruiz, Inma García and Manuel Ruiz.
