AFEMAC continues to collaborate with the Department of Environment of the City of guilas, this time, supporting the survival of what has been considered "2018 Bird of the Year: the owl."
This bird was proposed by SEO / Bird Life, the Spanish Association of Ornithology whose purpose is to conserve biodiversity and protect the poultry fauna of our country.
The owl was chosen as bird of the year due to the pronounced decline in population that this species is going through due to the effects, among others, of the current agricultural model, which has made environmental associations aware of the danger of extinction of this bird.
AFEMAC has started the creation of owl nests that will later be placed in our natural environment, thus contributing to the survival of this species.
In addition, we must emphasize that the presence of this species is indicated to combat pests.
