The Carlos V School, for the fourth consecutive year, has carried out its solidarity action for these Christmas holidays.
On this occasion, continuing with the premise of supporting the social groups of Águilas characterized by their charitable work, it has been the ADIA Association, which works to help families where diabetes is present and also where childhood diabetes involves a change in the day to day of the child, the one chosen by the Carlos V school, for its effort to normalize this disease and in recognition of the work they do year after year.
During the ceremony, its president, Yolanda Gallego, highlighted the work carried out by the teachers and students in the school in these past days.
The gala, attended by the mayor of Education, Cristóbal Casado, was developed, on Tuesday, with the performances in the Aquiline Auditorium of the 2nd Cycle of children and a second pass starring the students of the First Section of Primary.
Putting the finishing touch to the theatrical performance by the Farándula Theater Group, made up of students from the Carlos V Secondary School. On Wednesday, the protagonist on stage is for the 2nd Primary Section and the ESO students.
One of the most emotional moments was the delivery of the check to the Association of ADIA by the president of the Cooperativa de Enseñanza, Benito Mateo, who also addressed the attendees to "value the work of all members of the community educational, emphasizing the figure of the family that every child has and wants and thanking all the attendees for their good work with the social actions on foot that we carry out every day ".
Finally, stand out from the center, "it is important the representativeness of the Collective of the School Carlos V that with this type of charitable actions consolidate a social awareness in the municipality, being one of the cooperative principles by which this group is identified".
