The real integration of people with disabilities continues to be one of the priority objectives of the Government Team, aware of the importance of betting on the elimination of barriers that disabled people face on a daily basis.
An example of this was the recent approval of the I Plan for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities of guilas, the creation of inclusive children's parks or the improvement of accessibility in the streets of the town.
In this sense, the Auditorium has also added to the spaces without barriers and if something more than a year ago, a magnetic loop was installed in it, allowing people with hearing problems, using hearing aids or cochlear implants, to listen clearly. the different actions that are developed in it, now will be the people with mobility problems who benefit.
On this matter, the mayor of the area, Lucia Hernandez, noted that so far for a person with mobility problems could access the interior of the Auditorium by the elevator area was necessary for another person to climb the area of stairs to the box office and give the warning;
something that - Hernandez claimed - will no longer have to be done, since from now on at the opening time of the Auditorium both the main and rear doors will open, giving direct access to the elevator area, where auxiliary personnel of the building will facilitate access to anyone who, due to mobility problems, can not do it in the area of the stairs.
"This is a very simple gesture," the mayor pointed out, "but we believe that it will have a very positive effect on people with mobility problems."
