The City Council gets a new image of the entrance to Calabardina with the planting of more than sixty pines and palm hearts (14/08/2018)

The green areas of Águilas are in a continuous process of improvement to continue showing their best face to the citizen and the visitor.

For this reason, Águilas City Council is now working on improving the image that can be seen at the entrance to Calabardina.

"We are planting more than thirty 'Pinos Halepensis' along with another thirty palmettos ('Chamaerops Humilis') that will allow us to create a green lung in this space, but there are more measures in this area such as the creation of new alcorques for these specimens, that allow that when there are rains they can collect the runnings, as well as the installation of banks and paper mills ", explains the mayor of Companies Rendering Services, Isabel Fernandez.

Some works that also go through the contribution of peat lands and of the highest quality that will be complemented with the risks of support and settlement until these specimens grip with rooting.

The area has also improved its current irrigation system to get a better and better use of each drop of water that is invested in each of the copies.
