The green areas of the municipality involve constant care and maintenance to ensure that they continue to maintain their beauty.
For this reason, from the STV Gestión concessionary company, fungicide treatments are being applied to six specimens of washingtonia filiferous palm located in Plaza de España and in Plaza de la Mujer Trabajador.
"This treatment allows to act in two ways against the appearance of fungi in the palms, both by root system and foliar.A works that are carried out while they are pruning large specimens with a crane suitable for these tasks ", explains the mayor of Service Provider Companies, Isabel Fernández.
For this, a team of two people is working intensively (equipped with the necessary prevention and safety equipment) applying a treatment that allows to prevent the appearance of fungi and, ultimately, allows a greater and better conservation of the specimens.
Thus, the City of Águilas continues its policy of constant improvement and care of the different green areas of the municipality.
