Users of AFEMAC Mental Health accompanied by the director of this association and day center, moved on June 11 to Madrid to attend the "IV Edition of the Albert Jovell Awards Forum", held in the auditorium of the Reina Sofia Museum of the capital.

Remember that this Forum aims to exchange knowledge between different groups of professionals and institutions linked to the health field, always under the slogan that the patient must occupy the center of the system and must be an active part in making decisions that affect their health, all for the sake of perfecting a health system that must be increasingly human and effective.

Afemac has participated this year with the environmental project "Naturalmente", an idea that arises with the intention of contributing to the improvement of the autochthonous ecosystems of the Murcia region.

This objective is achieved with the development of the well-known "seed bombs" or, technically, Nengo Dango, a small ball of clay that contains in its interior the tree seed of the area, and which are thrown in the field to facilitate the reforestation;

in addition, nests and feeders for birds and "hotels of insects" are also made, all important element in the conservation of the different ecosystems.

The project did not get any of the three final awards, but the fact of participating is already an important recognition of the work done by users in their daily activities and is an incentive to continue on the path of overcoming the problems of mental health.
