Yesterday took place the celebration of an Extraordinary Plenary in the City Council of Águilas with two unique points of debate: the approval of the proposals for the application of surplus in financially sustainable investments and the approval of the specifications of technical specifications for the bidding of the Service Contract of Urban Waste Collection, road cleaning and beach cleaning.
Regarding financially sustainable investments, a point that was approved with the votes in favor of the Government Team and Águilas Can and the abstention of the Popular Party, the mayor of the Treasury, Tomás Consentino, clarified that "by financially sustainable investments we refer to to those that can be executed with the treasury remnant or what is the same, with the saving of all the aquilines ".
In this regard, the mayor of Finance explained that "although this remnant is just over six million euros, unfortunately the current legislation only allows us to use 669,298 euros."
As for the actions that will be carried out with this budget item, and that yesterday received the green light from the Municipal Plenary, the following stand out:
-Adjusting the Los Garriga boulevard, previous step for the necessary expansion of the municipal cemetery: 110,000 euros.
-Carril bypass bike of the municipality: 300,000 euros.
- Traffic light installation to connect the two sections of the cycle path: 30,000 euros.
- Channeling right bank of the Las Culebras ravine: 115,000 euros.
- Infrastructure of lighting and telephony in Calabardina: 36,000 euros.
- Park and garden furniture: 31,000 euros.
- Repair of the skylight of the roof of the City Hall building: 35,000 euros.
Regarding the list of technical specifications for the tender for the Urban Waste Collection Service Contract, street cleaning and beach cleaning, this was also approved with the votes in favor of the Government Team and the opposition of the PP and Águilas Can.
About the same, the mayor of Public Procurement, Tomás Consentino, said that "a statement has been drawn up to ensure that Águilas has the best possible cleaning service and, in addition, in drafting it has had the Company Committee since we are convinced that it is the workers themselves who best know the needs of Águilas. "
Also, the councilman said that among the improvements offered by the service, once it is tendered, include the renewal of all machinery and containers and bins that, according to the specifications, must be completely new, as well as the inclusion in the same areas that are not included in the current contract and the increase in the frequency of the service.
